ECCO XXVII will take place on Tuesday 10th of June (starting at 1 pm with welcome coffee and registration) and Wednesday 11th of June (full day) 2008, in Ghent, Belgium. The meeting is organized by the Belgian Coordinated Collections of Microorganisms (BCCMTM).
ECCO XXVII is organized back-to-back with the ‘Conference on Microbial Commons’ that will take place on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of June 2008.
Programs are complementary and both directly related to Culture Collection business, but also scientists working with microbial material will find themselves involved in many of the topics covered.
The ECCO XXVII program deliberately is mainly focussed on more technical aspects of Culture Collection activities, whereas the Microbial Commons conference program will cover legal aspects and network technologies related to access and use of microbial materials and data.
